Rain, run, fun, Tokyo

Well what started out as a day at home because it was raining, turned into a fun day with friends in the rain.
We quickly decided to put on all our wet weather gear, get on the bikes and ride to the train station. Onto the train and into Tokyo. My first trip to Tokyo - yahoo - in the rain!!!

Got off just by the Imperial Palace, geared up for a run, left our stuff in a locker and ran into the rain. There's an awesome 5km path around the outside of the Palace. It was cold and wet but very exhilarating all at the same time. I did 10km - was thrilled.

Back to the locker, made ourselves respectable and out to lunch at an awesome Brazilian place for a buffet. Great food, by now it was 2:45pm so we were ready to feast!!! Great company and lots of laughs.

Back on the train, into the wet weather gear for the ride home. Thank goodness for the heavenly hot shower and a cup of tea.
